HANDBOOK OF INTRODUCTION TO SOFTWARE ENGINEERING

Software engineering is a technique through which we can develop or create software for computer systems. Software engineering addresses the studies of requirement gathering, analysis, design, construction or development, delivery, and maintenance, and retires software. In other words, software engineering is a process in which the needs of users are analyzed, and then the software is designed according to the user’s requirements. Software engineering builds this software and application using designing and programming languages.

The necessity of software engineering in public or society cannot be overstated. Without software engineers/experts and the work they produce, the modern world would be completely different. It helps society in a number of ways. Without the formalized approach that software engineering brings to writing code, many of the applications we all use would never have been developed. Large-scale applications rarely succeed without ample testing, security checks, and the ability to grow.
